Enneagram Typology in TraitLab Pro

Learn how to interpret Enneagram typology results and understand personality differences through the nine Enneagram types.

Overview

The Enneagram Typology results in TraitLab Pro describe a member's personality using the Enneagram of Personality framework. Popular types in this framework are denoted by numbers and labels, such as Type 1: The Reformer, Type 2: The Helper, and so forth through all nine types.

TraitLab Pro uses a proprietary model to calculate the similarity between a member's personality and all nine types in this framework. This approach provides a more comprehensive view than traditional type classifications by showing degrees of similarity rather than assigning a single type.

The Enneagram Typology results are designed to help teams who are more familiar and comfortable with this particular typology, and as a bridge to modern frameworks like the Big Five.

Results

To access Enneagram typology results, select a member from your Dashboard. Enneagram typology results will be available if the member has completed their assessments and "Enneagram Typology" was included in the original invitation.

Individual member Enneagram typology results are shown in two ways:

Type Similarity

For each of the nine types, the member results include a similarity score between 0 and 100%. Similarity scores describe how similar the member is to each type based on their personality profile.

For example, if a member received a 75% similarity score to the Type 5 type, this means that roughly 75% of people with personalities like the member identify as a Type 5. Higher similarity scores indicate stronger alignment with that particular type's core motivations and behavioral patterns.

The results display all nine types with their corresponding similarity scores, giving you a complete picture of how the member relates to different Enneagram types rather than limiting them to a single category.

Type Deep Dives

Each type in the member results links to a series of detailed articles about that specific type.

These resources include more comprehensive information about the personality traits, interests, and strengths typically associated with each Enneagram type, helping you better understand what high similarity scores might mean for the member's motivations and workplace behavior.
